HERON to present at ISPOR meeting this May

We are pleased announce that HERON will be exhibiting and presenting at the 14th Annual International Meeting of ISPOR, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research. The meeting will be held on 16-20 May 2009 and will be attended by several HERON staff from the US, UK and India. Over the course of the conference, we will be presenting 1 workshop and 14 posters.

The workshop will focus on the importance of updating systematic reviews, as well as discussing the many challenges faced by researchers when attempting to add new data to a previous systematic review. Practical solutions to these difficulties will also be discussed. The workshop will be lead by Dr Samuel Stoddart (HERON's Technical Lead for systematic reviews) and Melanie Plested (Senior Analyst) in collaboration with Dr Alexander Tsertsvadze, an expert in systematic review methodology, currently working with the Clinical Epidemiology Program, Ottawa Health Research Institute, Ontario.
