Jonas Hermansson, MSc- Senior Health Outcomes Analyst, Heron AB
I am working as a Senior Analyst at HERON’s Nordic office in Stockholm. Before joining HERON, I have worked primarily with different tasks in epidemiology and public health. I hold two master degrees, one in Health Promotion from the Mälardalen University where I did my master thesis with a focus on Health Economics and one in Public Health from Uppsala University where I did my master thesis in Epidemiology. I am also in the process of completing my PhD studies in cardiovascular outcomes among shift workers. I initially became interested in HERON because I saw a unique way of combining my interest and experience in epidemiology with my interest health economics.
Peter Carlqvist MSc, PhD- Health Outcomes Analyst, Heron AB
I joined HERON AB in Stockholm in May 2010 and hold a Masters in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Physical/Quantum Chemistry from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. After my studies I went to Spain for a postdoctoral stay at ICIQ in Tarragona. My first position in industry was with CCDC in Cambridge (UK) working as an Application and Research Scientist supporting CCDC’s life science products. Returning to Sweden in 2008 I joined the pharmaceutical company Medivir AB as a Computational Scientist. Working in preclinical research at a small pharmaceutical company I was attracted to Heron by the opportunity to continue to work scientifically but closer to the health sector and to be able to contribute to decisions improving healthcare.
Sofia Dahlberg, MSc, PhD- Health Outcomes Analyst, Heron AB
I work as a Health Outcomes Analyst at HERON AB in Stockholm, Sweden. I completed my PhD studies at Karolinska Institutet in 2009. My project concerned the interaction between the bacterium Streptococcus pneumoniae and the innate immune system, and it led to several original articles and reviews. Prior to the doctoral studies, I earned a degree in biomedicine (MSc) at Uppsala University. In addition to my biomedical background, I have also studied Psychology, German and Rhetorics at university level. Prior to joining HERON, I worked as a post doc at the Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control. I applied to the position as Health Outcomes Analyst at HERON because I would like to complement my biomedical knowledge with health economic aspects and thereby contribute to decision-making in the life science industry.
