Health Economic Modelling
HERON’s Health Economic Modelling Unit is not limited to the taxonomy of health economics. Whilst this provides a clear sector description of what we do, our staff of mathematicians, statisticians, epidemiologists and health economists strive to provide the breath of analytical services our clients require. With over 50 HTA submissions to our name and many more economic evaluations and analyses the experience and expertise in the unit is of the highest order. The unit readily maintains academic relationships to keep our skills current and peer reviewed and is a fulcrum point across our other service units such as providing Bayesian analyses in partnership with evidence reviews and conjoint analyses as part of some pricing and market access assignments.
The unit is currently led by Acting Head and Co-Founder Chris Knight whilst we seek to recruit a new Senior Vice President. Such a key appointment cannot be rushed and our executive recruitment partner has been tasked to provide a short list of suitable candidates. Chris and his ultimate successor will strive to make this group the most highly respected, commercial analytics unit in the world integrating expertise from the UK, Sweden and India together. HERON sees great opportunities and challenges in this field and is watching closely the developments in comparative effectiveness research in the US and the utility of real world data in countries such as Sweden to match our skills to the scope of current and future demand.
