US Pricing & Market Access
As Vice President of Pricing and Market Access for HERON, Erik's goal is to insure that HERON works with clients to achieve excellent market access through the pursuit of proper pricing and reimbursement strategies. Erik believes that many therapies provide great value to healthcare and that everyone benefits if proper pricing and reimbursement can be achieved in this changing US marketplace.
My Road
Erik earned a Masters of Arts in Biology and a Masters of Business Administration and has enjoyed a varied and distinguished healthcare career prior to joining HERON. Erik began his career as a Research Scientist and Lab Supervisor/National Breast Cancer Tissue Registry coordinator before making a transition to industry as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist with Astra Merck Inc. Following 5 years of sales success, he joined the pricing team, where Erik led a cross-functional commercialization teams to develop launch price recommendations across numerous therapeutic areas, including oncology and gastroenterology. After his time at AstraZeneca, Erik moved to a Senior Director of Reimbursement position with McKesson Specialty. In this consultancy role, Erik was responsible for designing and executing strategy to build marketable reimbursement hotline services for pharmaceutical organizations. More recently, Erik was a Managing Partner at a privately held consultancy, where he led the Pricing and Reimbursement Practice and was responsible for the business development and delivery of solutions to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device customers. In his current role, Erik is responsible for fostering growth in HERON's world class Pricing and Market Access capabilities in the complex and challenging US market.

As Director of Pricing & Market Access, Tom will leverage his extensive knowledge of public and private payment systems in the US to deliver focused pricing and reimbursement strategies to HERON's clients.
My Road
Tom has over ten years of experience in the health care consulting and manufacturing industries, where he has led teams working on reimbursement and market access issues on behalf of biopharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic, and durable medical equipment companies. In addition, Tom has consulted with leading US hospitals and health systems as well as The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on strategic and operational initiatives involving hospital finances, service line development, targeted performance improvement, coverage and coding policies, and implementation of the Medicare Part D benefit. He has held positions with The American Red Cross and ConvaTec Inc. (formerly a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company), where he was responsible for US Public Policy and Reimbursement and Global Payer Marketing for the company's Wound Therapeutics portfolio. Tom earned his Masters degree while studying Literature and Medicine at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Eric M. Bachman

Eric is a Senior Analyst involved in projects within the Pricing & Market Access business unit. He has a broad knowledge of US payment and reimbursement systems, including an in-depth understanding of buy and bill practice dynamics, hospital payment systems, and launch strategy.
My Road
In a similar position at a previous company, Eric contributed on strategic pricing initiatives for pharmaceutical or diagnostic products in areas of osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, depression, several types of cancer, anesthesiology, Gaucher disease, and appendicitis. Eric earned a masters in business administration (MBA) with a specialization in pharmaceutical business from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. His capstone project included an analysis of strategies for extended release drugs to determine the impact of clinical differentiation and launch timing on products' prices. Throughout his studies, he investigated and presented pharmaceutical strategy findings in a variety of additional therapeutic areas including restless leg syndrome, prostate cancer, and obesity. Eric has a B.S. in Chemistry from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Jinender Kumar

My Job
Jinender is an Analyst within the Pricing & Market Access business unit. He has broad knowledge about the US health care market that includes Medicare, Medicaid, private payers, their associated medical and pharmacy billing codes (ICD9 - CM diagnosis and procedure, DRG, CPT, HCPCS and NDC), and reimbursement practices.
My Road
Jinender has more than six years of experience working in the clinical research, sales, marketing, health economics and outcomes divisions of the world's top pharmaceutical and biotech companies. He has extensive knowledge and experience working in the Indian healthcare market, launching and achieving great success in sales with three drugs (broad spectrum antibiotics and anti-fungals). He is proficient in analyzing medical and pharmacy claims, quality of life, and survey data using statistical software such as SAS, STATA, and SPSS. He has presented at various national and international conferences including ISPOR and APhA. Jinender is a Pharmacist who has also earned a masters degree in pharmacy administration and a post-graduate diploma in business administration with specialization in marketing management.

Anisha joined Heron as an Analyst in the P&MA team in 2010.
My Road
Prior to joining Heron, Anisha was awarded a Master's degree with major in Pharmacy Administration from St. John's University in New York and Bachelor's in Pharmacy from India. In her graduate program, she completed research on assessing the length of delivery hospitalization stay of pregnant women with pre-existing medical conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, asthma, cardiac disease, anemia and other confounding factors. This experience has imparted a strong proficiency in systematic literature search, ICD-9-CM coding, working with large data-sets, statistical modeling and survival analysis using SPSS and SAS software. Anisha's educational background has given her a deep insight of the US health care system including the regulatory environment, payer structure and reimbursement issues. As for her professional experiences, she had an opportunity to intern with the Marketing Department of Dr. Reddys Laboratories Inc., which was focused on preparing generic product forecasting models to assist supply chain and sales team. She also invested eight months working on a Pharmacovigilance project for Pfizer, Inc., which focused on Adverse Event Reporting System (AERS) in compliance with the Phase-IV requirements of pharmaceutical products.

Meadow joined HERON April, 2010 to support a variety of Pricing & Market Access projects.
My Road
Meadow has over two years' pharmaceutical industry experience, especially in data analytics, business intelligence and strategic planning. Before joining HERON, Meadow worked in client solutions at two pharmaceutical data providers using patient, physician and promotional data to answer business questions across therapeutic areas for a large client base. Meadow also has created disease state modules on osteoporosis, oncology, heart disease and diabetes. In addition, Meadow worked at a Communications Executive at a pharmaceutical company in Dublin, Ireland, on strategic relationship and product planning.
Meadow studied English and Business at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where received her Bachelors of Arts in 2009.

Bryan is an Analyst in the Pricing and Market Access Unit
My Road
Prior to joining HERON, Bryan gained experience in market access strategy at a boutique pricing and market access firm, performing reimbursement landscape assessments of the US and certain EU markets, as well as cost analysis and due diligence work. During these projects, he gained experience specifically in the neurology and oncology therapy areas. In addition, Bryan also has biomedical research experience, working on cell replacement therapies for Parkinson’s disease and studying the stem cell properties of glioblastomas.
Bryan earned his Master’s in Public Health degree from Boston University concentrating in both health policy and management, and epidemiology. During his studies, he analyzed the intricacies of new US health care polices and how they impact the pharmaceutical industry as well as developed knowledge of various health services research study designs and implementation. In addition, he gained further expertise in the pharmaceutical industry by earning a certificate in Boston University’s Pharmaceutical Assessment, Management and Policy program. Bryan majored in psychology as an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania and minored in biological basis of behavior and health care management in the Wharton School of Business.
