US Business Development
John Kerrigan
My Job
I am responsible for setting the vision and strategic direction of the HERON Group. My operational responsibilities are focused on establishing and growing a US Customer Relationship Management office. I love my job because it combines the ability to make a real difference to the healthcare of thousands, with the intellectual challenge of working with leading researchers and business people in the industry.
My Road
We established HERON in a back bedroom of my house in 1999 with three desks, a fax machine and three leased laptops. Within a few months of launch, we had offices, staff and a growing client base. We became an international company in 2006, and I am proud that the creative, collegiate culture that flourished in the UK office has spread to HERON's other sites. The road has been like a mountain pass; sometimes winding, often steep, but the views around every bend are remarkable, and the camaraderie and enthusiasm of colleagues and clients make the journey memorable. The road ahead looks equally exciting. I look forward to sharing some of the journey with you.

Part of my job also includes developing my own technical and analytical skills further, as well as enriching my experience by working with diverse, talented and motivated team members at HERON.
My Road
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University School of Business. I returned to Rutgers and completed a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Pharmaceutical Management and Marketing. My professional background encompasses a range of diverse experiences that I have garnered since 1999 working for companies within the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry. I am excited to have the opportunity to combine my sales and marketing expertise in current position in Business Development. Over the course of my career within the Pharma industry, I have launched products in various therapeutic categories and have worked closely with teams to develop and implement brand management plans on various tactical levels, including market research, managed markets, specialty pharmacies, hospitals, and private physician practices. Additionally, I have worked with specialty therapies, orphan therapies, and mass marketed drugs. I look forward to learning the Health Economics/ Managed Markets arena at a time of growth and demand in the field.
