HERON Evidence-to-Access Commercial Decision SupportTM

Value Dossiers

HERON offers a dedicated team focused on strategic medical communications, including the development of high-quality value dossiers. This team was selected based on their medical writing abilities and skills in strategic thinking, enabling us to provide project teams that combine effective communication with clear value messaging.

HERON has over a decade of experience in providing Global Value Dossiers across a range of disease areas. The HERON Global Value Dossier is an invaluable resource that concisely communicates key scientific evidence supporting the value of the product for the chosen indication.

Assessment of Value Messages: Based on early data, the development of value messages that can form the target value story, or the review and critique of draft value messages that are already in place. At later stages, reviewing the value story for evidential support, believability, and phrasing. At each stage thinking about relevance to stakeholders such as payers, clinicians, and patients is key, and results in a Value Message Matrix that indicates which message is targeted at each stakeholder
Value Message Testing and Refinement: This activity can build on previous value message work, or involve developing the messages from scratch if needed. Value messages are discussed with payers and other stakeholders to determine the relevance of the messages themselves and the believability of the supporting data - with recommendations on how to optimize the messages. Stakeholder testing can range in scope from individual expert qualitative discussions to advisory board meetings. This activity results in guidance on which messages to use with each stakeholder to best support the perception of product value
Value Communications Strategy: Involves taking or creating the product value story and focusing on the communication of the story to key stakeholders. This activity can overlap with value message refinement in terms of testing value messages with stakeholders, but also addresses the processes, order, and timing of communications alongside the selection of stakeholders to target/partner globally
Global Value Dossier (GVD): Development of a strategic, centralized resource to communicate the value messages/value story with supporting evidence to serve as a base for internal alignment, external communications, and regulatory submissions. We have developed a unique Global Value Dossier Framework approach that places the value story at the centre of dossier development. All HERON’s Global Value Dossiers come with a gap-analysis as standard, ensuring that the strengths and limitations of a products value story are well understood
Global Value Dossier Update: Addition of new data to existing Global Value Dossier, editing of previous content, and revision of the value messages and value story. This activity is essential to ensure the Global Value Dossier remains relevant and current; with new evidence generated daily and new products launched each year, a Global Value Dossier can become less effectual if not kept up-to-date
Executive Report: A fully-referenced, stand-alone report designed to communicate the top-level value story for the product, with cross-referencing to the full supporting information in the Global Value Dossier. This report is valuable for capturing the value messages and objection handling for a product in an easily-digestible format, and is particularly useful for a product with multiple indications; one Executive Report can summarize multiple indication-specific Global Value Dossiers
Pricing and Reimbursement Implementation Dossier (PRID): Summarizes the key pricing strategy work undertaken in preparation for the launch of a product. Including information on the price points/boundaries for the product per country, and the rationale behind them, alongside the launch sequence and reimbursement strategy in each of the key countries, this Dossier acts as day-to-day guidebook for all internal affiliates in the run up to product launch
Reimbursement Dossier: Focuses on capturing the clinical and economic information that will be required in country-level Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions. Clinical trials and economic models are described to the level of technical detail required by the most demanding of HTA bodies targeted, typically NICE, and in a structure that facilitates easy compilation of the HTA submission when required. Written in a scientifically focused manner, a reimbursement dossier strategically positions the product in a manner appropriate for an HTA submission
Stakeholder Engagement Leave-Piece: Developed as an additional deliverable following a Global Value Dossier, this document is more visual and marketing oriented and should be kept concise. This leave-piece may facilitate discussion with hospital formulary stakeholders, for example, and may be left with them for reference
Negotiation/Global Value Dossier roll-out workshop: Taking the content of a Global Value Dossier or a Pricing & Market Access strategy, this type of engagement aims to help affiliates prepare for negotiations and submissions. By looking at objections and how to handle them, and how to make best use of the materials available, affiliates can be trained in the uniform message designed for the product
iGVD: Presentation of the Global Value Dossier content on an internet-based platform, allowing affiliates to view the information more easily and more interactively. This format also provides benefits in version control and monitoring of usage, as well as promoting internal communications through the discussion forum and comments/review function
Executive Slide Deck: All of HERON’s Dossiers can be presented in a short (25-30 slide) presentation for use in internal or external discussions on the product value story
